H1B

A visa allowing an educated foreign worker to work in the United States for a few years. 

A foreign worker must be sponsored by a valid company to apply and for the extension as well.

The initial time that an H-1B visa is valid for three years. It can be extended for another three years after that. The total time that an H-1B visa can be used to remain in the United States is six years.

E2

EB5

The EB5 program is the only visa designed to gain a green card. 

The standard minimum investment amount has increased to $1.8 million (from $1 million). The minimum investment in a regional center has increased to $900,000 (from $500,000).

Student Visa

The United States supports international education and welcomes foreign students and exchange visitors. Before applying for a visa, students and exchange visitors must be accepted by their schools or program sponsors

Asylum

Asylum status may be granted to people who have been persecuted or fear they will be persecuted on account of race, religion, nationality, or membership in a particular social group or political opinion.
